General Store Stuff

We couldn't think of where to put some of these items so we decided to do a special grouping of things you might find in a General Store! All are 1:12 unless otherwise indicated. (Also don't forget to see the candy items in our other department- "The Candy Shoppe".

Barbed Wire Bail

Cowboys used these out on the range when running fence. They fit behind the saddle.

Plucked Chicken

Could be used in a general store or joke shop setting. You get 1 mini chicken. (3 are shown in photo with penny so you can see front/back/side views.) Chicken is 1 1/2" long from head to feet.

Old Tyme Ink Well & Quill Pen

A nice addition to your general store or dollhouse desk. Curl the feather by pulling it carefully over a knife or scissor edge, and glue into the little silver inkwell. SUPER EASY KIT!

Antique Style Ice Skates

Too cute for words! The photo was done on a scanner so you can't really see the authentic
shape of the blade.

You can glue these on a porcelain doll with boots to make a skating doll, or just hang them from a nail in your General Store scene! You could even "rust" or age them a bit and hang them from a nail on the back porch of the dollhouse.

Skate pair is 3/4" long, with flat top and attached blade.

1:12 Wheelbarrow Kit

Photo shows all 3 scales. (See Smaller Scales for the other sizes.) Made of laser-cut basswood parts. You can stain, weather or paint as desired. Kit includes laser-cut wood parts and detailed, illustrated instructions. The 1:12 kit is shown painted green and stained. It is 3-5/16" from wheel to tip of handles and approx 1-5/8" tall.

Note- The wheels are laser-cut and are round and accurate! The 1" scale prototype in the photo had wheels cut from cardstock so they look a bit out of round.

1:12 Antique Handtruck Kit

Henry the adorable shopkeeper is not included, but you do get a precision laser-cut kit for the handtruck. Charles Jones is the designer.

"Acme Handtruck Co." is engraved on the cross pieces.. I was so excited about this new item that I didn't even finish staining it before we photographed it! You can stain it or use Tung Oil to finish.

Bonnie Lavish 1:12 Large Produce Crate Kit

perfect fit and really easy construction. Great quality for the low price of $5. Crate measures 1-3/16" x 15/16" x 3/4" deep. Hand holes for carrying are already pre-cut, too. No general store or produce stand scene should be without these. GREAT KIT FOR BEGINNERS!

Perfect for that general store or kitchen scene in 1:12! Set of 6 includes 3 removable lids. It's very easy to make extra lids out of a teeny bit of foil or gingham fabric tied with thread. Jars are not fillable, but are ready for your own cute labels. (You could paint them with glass stain to look like jelly.)
